The first part of the Hot Air episode of Wind In The Willows by Cosgrove Hall, 1987...

"Toad's hot air balloon finally arrives, and despite Rat's criticism of Toad, Badger thinks it will be a good way to survey the approach of the railway. However, when Toad packs a huge hamper to take up with him, only Mole is left to help. The henchman weasel has fallen asleep in the basket, and as Mole tries to carry the hamper he trips over the rope and the balloon begins its ascent. Mole drives along in Toad's car, following the balloon across the countryside. Up in the air, Toad takes photographs of the railway as the henchman tries not to be sick. With too much weight, the balloon starts drifting downward towards a lake. With all the sandbags released, Toad and the henchman fight over who should jump out. Toad pulls the wrong lever and the balloon crashes down into a tree. Examining the developed photographs, Badger is pleased with Toad's efforts. However, Mole seems to have been struck down with motoring insanity..."

  • Toad's ballooning outfit is wonderful. I do love this episode because it shows Mole in a different light - getting vented at Toad (which he doesn't do often) and racing around the countryside (which he also doesn't do often).

  • Actually he played both characters! And Billy Rabbit too!

  • 'You hignoramus!'

    Heehee! Love it :D

  • I love how Toad always over-does it on his craze outfits. Which are as follows: athlete, motorist, Caravan rider, cook, teacher and suiter (when he falls in love in that one episode). By the way goodluckpeace44 mole may be rather old-fashioned, but he is inteligent and kind and by no means a fool or an idiot. He's just easily impressed.

  • MY BALOON

  • @D665 I told you about talking rubbish!

  • Mole is an idiot as well. he is not smart, a humble village fool
