  • It still is the best Art School in Canada in my opinion, and that's because of my wonderful talented classmates, and the quality teachers, who all still have to be active as artists. I found NSCAD was less conceptually rigorous than Con U which is strange.ultimately you get out of it what you put into it. You really want to make connections and pick brains. Also, be prepared to work from 50 - 70 hours a week on your school stuff alone...

  • Has there been any headway with the petition?

    I'm going to apply to NSCAD soon. I'm really nervous about it, but seeing this, working all night on projects, makes it seem incredible!

  • Is NSCAD a good school?

  • ...consider the screenprinting studio alone, where you can book time to work from 12 midnight to 4am, and from 4am to 8am, etc.; it's the only way printmakers can get their work done in that space. getting rid of 24 hour access would mean that the facilities will grow two to three times their size, but this isn't the case, is it?

  • good luck nscad students. good luck jen. getting rid of twenty four access would be a nightmare. i graduated a couple of years ago, and there wasn't a time that i worked through the night that there weren't other students hard at work as well. it's one of the greatest draws to nscad - that our studios are available to us. getting rid of this would be getting rid of one of the students' greatest freedoms and ability to complete the masses upon masses of work that they have...
