Impression of 'How to meet an Angel', a work of art from Russian artists Ilya and Emilia Kabakov for Mentrum, organisation for mental healthcare in Amsterdam.
I went to see this sculpture after i got informed about it and was told the context of the project. I hadn't seen it before was told about it.
After is saw it i was shocked. It isn't (as i see it) in any way emphatic for the patients in this clinic. The "jumper" itself is to far away to see his expression. The only thing you can clearly see is a man ready to jump off of this cheaply build ladder.
i think this is more a beautiful sculpture than a suicidal jumper for patients. the person at the top of the stairs is a bronze made man not a real patient! its an art sculpture that evokes dreams and beauty..

Hope people are gonna stop this. Brak it down before it's there.
Windowdres-eager management and off track artists losing it completely at the cost of the patients.
Shocking to see this, I work in this organisation and I can see: Not only Jacko was Wacko.
