Some words are but the word "parkour" is NOT. Parkour is a part of method-naturelle and the discipline seeks to better the ability of oneself to escape a predator and move quickly through one's obstacle ridden environment for whatever reason. Alcohol usually doesn't help one's athleticism. Let's keep things simple and have a different word for everything,(not like you have a choice).

So you're saying that the french word "parcours" from which parkour is derived, can be interpreted as "freedom". No french person, no matter how crazy will understand you if you are using this word in reference to freedom. The word has fairly rigid meaning in the minds of thousands of french people, get my point?

You misinterpret. I'm not saying that for french people the word 'parcours' means freedom. I'm saying that for me, the word 'parkour' represents freedom, a freedom which I express in this video.

All words are man, language has been evolving and dancing and chainging for thousands of years, you're not going to stop it now. There's always a choice, you shouldn't take life too seriously, and you shouldn't take parkour more seriously than life.

We've been practicing parkour for years, been around since the beginning in Ireland, and for us parkour is about freedom. Nothing is rigid and exterior, everything is interior and evolving, everything is falling apart. We actually happen to be in remarkably good shape, despite whatever we might occasionally indulge in, just keeping it groovy.
