  • I'm upright bass player and I can tell that Gomez is great but there is a lot more double bass players who can be better and more accurate. That's my opinion but I like style of Gomez a lot ! He is original :)

  • John Entwistle was voted by other professional bass players as the, "BASSIST OF THE MILLENIUM"

  • John Antwhistle is not good enough to kiss Eddie's endpin

  • mate, he's definatly really good, but christian mcbride, stanley clarke, just to name a few are nicer bass players than gomez,

  • go to hell

  • Forget all that greatist player (media hype) crap and just enjoy the music.

  • This is great - I thought only guitarists bitched about who is the best ever at this kind of abysmal level :-) Very amusing - keep it up, friends!

  • @NZDaywalker Haha Thank you for those kind words. Respect the more defined, historic, and vastly superior man :) I would never put McBride and Clarke above the names I mentioned, because they don't have individuality like Brown or Pedersen. I would say Clarke and McBride play faster, that's about it :) Again, all opinions.

  • @KillswitchEngage42 "just to name a few" you fuck

  • @NZDaywalker Wow... I guess Ray Brown, Scott LaFaro, and NHOP never existed.

  • john entiwistle is the best rock bassist. eddie gomez is the best jazz bassist. along with mingus too

  • yeah y´all bitches go to hell, eddie gomez is king. period.

  • @oregonbobv Eddie is real good without a doubt ,but to be fair, he probably has played "Very Early" more than any bass player alive,so he should know it by now.And actually any professional jazz musician should have good time and swing. It goes with the territory...

  • I think this video would have more views (and more likes) if the subtitle wasn't "the greatest bass player of all time".

  • fantastic thanks for posting... btw i love eddie on green dolphin in the bill evans tokyo concert great solo there also
