This is my sample of facial and hair features in Poser 7. Althugh the version 7 has great new features, it is still not very efficient. This clip took me 3 days (1 full day of CPU work on a Core2 Due 3Ghz and 4GB of RAM)

  • That's not really true, because it is possible to create with Poser real good films and animations like "Nemo" or "Avatar". It's all a question of time, accuracy, knowledge about Poser and the PC-performance.

  • @SirJohnsStatement tbh they dont use poser for those movies. They don't usually use any of the software pieces we know. The make their own software. They might use different software like Poser, 3dsmax, etc, but only slightly.

  • @hessanfeg No... most of them use maya for animatioOr did you think the software costed so much cause hobbiest love spending their money? Maybe once every so often they use some outside program but in most cases thats not true... They simply dont need too... They use all programs available to them and are usually on a team.. and in some cases poser is apart of it.. they certainly dont leave anything out...but they dont have some super secret animation software that they've blocked from the world

  • @Demonata1223 well don't get me wrong. sometimes you need something no general-purpose software can do. then you might consider making a very special-purpose software that does only that special task. And they have a bunch of those stuff in the making of every movie or video game.

  • @Demonata1223 and also consider all 3d-scanning hardware/software we don't use at home. so poser then comes of very little interest to them.

  • good work !

shall you tell us what hardware configuration you have ?

i bet a hnd this animation took a long time to render...

  • i told the config in the description of this video :D yea it took me enough time to LEAVE poser forever!

  • @hessanfeg Maya and Renderman are popular for 3d films

  • :D

  • This is just.....amaizing.

  • @hessanfeg Theres almost no special purpose that would require hiring making a entire new software for it...They pretty much have everything covered... The only thing that i can think of that's different then what i said is pixar uses a special animation software... But that was mostly because they had to use many many different computers to render a clip from one of their movies... so yeah... I'm not saying its impossible.. its just very rare

  • @hessanfeg

That's true, but it's possible to create such animations with poser! All you need is Poser 10 and 100 paid animators
