An Anti-Bullying message from some Members of Parliament, Senators and others in memory of Jamie Hubley and in support of his family.

For children and teens who are bullied: it gets better.

For children and teens who see bullying happen: stand up against bullying.

Both messages need to go hand in hand in order to beat bullying.

If you are bullied, please call Kids Help Phone for help.

If you see someone who is bullied, please stand up for them and don't stay quiet.

  • It's a message with good intentions but we're losing too many young people to suicide.

We can't keep waiting for it to get better.

We have to make it better.

  • The message is great, the deliverance.. not so much. I hate to be a critic but I really feel they could have put a more sincere effort into reaching out to these kids. Why not a similar message on national t.v so it can reach more people? Was this the conservatives idea? Or did the videographer take it upon himself to produce this video? In any case kids, it does get better and if you reach out there are lots of us that love you & we will help. Please call the Kids Help Phone. We love you.

  • @Ellipser Posting a comment like that on a video like this is not morally right either. The LGBT community is not forcing their beliefs down anybody's throats, it's ultra-right wing conservatives that are doing that. we are just pushing for equality, not forcing a homosexual lifestyle on anyone. this is a video in memory of those who have taken their lives from the immense pain caused by bullying.

  • Hi :) My name is Jacob... And I'm being bullied purely for having an eating disorder.

I've made a video to let my feelings out, and I'm being bullied even more for it..

If you could show your support and let my bully's know enough is enough, and that people do care about me even though they say I'm not wanted.

You don't have to watch, .. I'd just like to know that people actually cared...

    Thanks,x

  • Canada has more gay and bi-sexual anti-Christian politicians then the media would ever admit.

Men, like John Baird, want to silence those who still carry moral values on this land.

If you're gay, that's your business, but to force the issue down a person's throat into accepting anal sex as "normal and healthy" is an outright lie. Forced accomidation of the gay lifestyle shows the media's.. ha, total bias. Corruption is everywhere now, while mainly selling the lie. They know it, we know it.

  • You cant just say it gets better. We have to make it better/

  • Just saying it gets better, doesn't make it so. I agree with the lot of you, that while the message is a positive one, it's not something that is going to mean much to kids. Personally I think kids/young adults talking to kids about kids, is a much better way to get kids to listen. And not even just listen, but to help them believe in what they are hearing. And not even just believing it, but actually making it a reality.

  • It does not :( You can't bring Jamie back :'(

  • Well, they all sounded like an actor in an audition, trying to get a role of some kind. But, at least they did it, and I'm sure they were sincere. I just hope our politicians will make anti-bullying laws where the parents can be sued for their kids actions. Teachers are educators, bullying is a violent crime. It is way over their heads. Our politicians have to take strong actions.

  • I applaud them for at least coming out in support of Jamie and delivering this message. It would be more impressive if some of the Tory caucus would come out, plain and simple.

  • its hard to take these ppl seriously - bunch of old suits. i appreciate the well-meaning message and, unlike some of their politics, i trust them on this. i have tons and lgbtq friends whom i dearly love and i can tell you - if you love YOURSELF and give yourself permission to be who you are, it will get better, ppl will love you and your orientation will be beside the point. some of them have been through alot but now they're lovin life. you shouldn't have to wait for it to get better - but do!
