Another video response to coughlan666's Leaked Dissertation video. Careful, I get a bit blasphemous towards the end. Rife with F bombs and radical thinking!

(Nb: I have no doctorate, I don't know everything, I'm not a Biblical Scholar, and I'm not claiming to/to be. But I can string a coherent sentence together, and that makes me more qualified than Kent Hovind to comment on his own thesis.)

I just briefly skimmed the rest of his 'thesis,' and not surprisingly, I saw NOT A SINGLE CITATION IN THE ENTIRE EFFING THING. HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A 'WORKS CITED' SECTION!!! Instead he lists PERSONAL CONVERSATIONS, in a DOCTORAL THESIS, as "EVIDENCE" of his "claims."

At one point he actually stated: "There is no empirical evidence to support evolution." HOW WOULD YOU KNOW IF YOU NEVER CRACKED OPEN A SINGLE BOOK TO SUPPORT THAT CLAIM? He doesn't even ATTEMPT to discount a SINGLE SHRED OF EVIDENCE (and yes, it does exist) for evolution. Why not cite/read/examine books ABOUT evolution? Articles? Documentaries? Oh, that's right, you 'preach' unto others, therefore you know ALL. I forgot, sorry.

Pardon the 'blasphemy,' but Jesus Tap Dancing Christ. The profundity of this man's willful ignorance would make Mary Magdalene gag.

You also don't seem to understand a hypothetical argument. I granted you your assertion, for the sake of argument, that all of hovinds theories are correct, he never did anything to demonstrate, prove his ideas in a verifiable testable way beyond quoting the bible, un-named sources, and his firm beliefs on the subject.

He starts out with a firm 100% belief that the Bible is that unfettered word of GOD when even the BIBLE doesn't make that claim.

The bible has been fettered most certainly.

@bunnygotfree Indeed, I've got great videos in my playlists on some great topics. I've got a misc folder with refutations of the Cosmological Argument, Ontological, Pascal's Wager and so on. Only 12 playlists can be chosen as top ones, so I can't have a playlist for everything. It's a work in progress.

Don't have a webcam, so I do that, and mirror videos. Speaking of which, I just saw your censortube video. Can I mirror that? Was about to post in that video, but seeing as I'm here...

@bunnygotfree ... been the one making an issue of religion, somehow. It's the old "If atheists don't believe in the Lawd, why do they talk about god so much?" line of so-called thinking. It's infuriating and intellectually dishonest. You have every right to be up in arms about it. We have every reason to talk about religion, and it has nothing to do with secretly 'believing in god.' There are loads of good videos on here that address that very issue. :)

@Pushtrak - Oh, yeah, you'll get that a lot. I was afraid of addressing a scary Christian stalker chick at work - she repeatedly confronted me about going to church with her IN PUBLIC. I was afraid to say anything about being an atheist, but I finally did, she basically said that atheism is a cult. And I couldn't say anything to the contrary, because I was surrounded by coworkers and customers. It was awful and degrading - and had I said anything about her religion being a cult, *I* would have..

@Pushtrak And I don't like some expectation that there has to be a quality reason for talking about it. To me, "Why do you care about this?" if it is an attitude taken to too many things, it is like people are expected to be indifferent to everything. "Hey, you aren't apathetic. Why do you care?" which, honestly, I find somewhat disquieting if I think too much on it.

When religion comes up on a night out with friends, I can really go at religion. Have lots of points that I can bring up usually. I've had people ask me why I talk about religion so much.

This is a question I don't like getting. Numerous reasons. First of all, I rather the issues be discussed, not look for something else. Second of all, I have lots of reasons. And I can't always remember them all when asked, because this is the kind of conversation that comes up when drunk usually.

@jisaid08 - He doesn't even have a works cited page. Seriously. In a supposed PhD dissertation, not a single work cited other than the bible. which he doesn't even cite properly. Awesome right? :D
