bravo, christine. can we go a step further, and say not just that the christian faith will not be imprisoned in just one culture, but that Jesus will not be imprisoned within just one socio-religious group, i.e. christianity?

Andrea, I think that you are right. Though I believe that Jesus is fully revealed through the Christ of Christianity I do also believe that there are aspects of him and of God that are revealed in all religions. Evidently early Christians believed that they were privileged to live in a non Christian society because they believed that it was through their interactions with people outside the faith that they learned more about God.
