We must take a stand to this! no more of this CRAP! animal cruelty is disgusting and i hope that the animal abusers will be burned in hell!

The recent incident in which a woman was severely mauled by a pet chimpanzee and the chimp was shot and killed is just one example of how dangerous primates can be. We can't undo the damage, but we can take action to prevent these situations and protect primates who belong in the wild—not in the pet trade.

The Captive Primate Safety Act (H.R. 80/S. 462) prohibits interstate and foreign commerce in primates as pets. This legislation passed the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 323-95 and now awaits action in the Senate.

Please make a brief, polite phone call to your two U.S. Senators to urge support for H.R. 80/S. 462, the Captive Primate Safety Act and do all they can to pass this important legislation.
