  • 5 PanAm 747s? Wow!!! Where were they parked? I mean coz the only gate for jumbo jets in the old terminal was gate 7 (A and B). KLM 747 used to park there. Saludos desde L.A.

  • @amilcarqwuu I know, no idea if they ever came with a full load or how many times they did...pero ahora ya no....saludos!

  • Great Video,

I do not know your age but in the early 70's when Guate was a Panam Hub, it was

great to see up to 5 Panam 747 all parked. I live in L.A. and when visiting my Grandparents i would fly on those great 747 Birds, keep up the good work...

  • @Pablo3Montenegro Haha great vid bro...it reminded me when as a kid i used to go to the airport, and sit there for a whole day wishing i could get on the next flight to Europe hahaha saludos.

  • @Pablo3Montenegro never went, they use to deploy an a300 which use to fly from miami via mex and then switched to mia-gua-sal. never were there that many flying to guatemala, esp not in the 80's.

  • exelent video! good job..

  • @guate1960 Thx for the info. Btw, Not sure but I think KLM is coming back to GUA in 2012. Probably they will fly 747s or 777s from AMS.

  • @amilcarqwuu

hola, Keep in mind that in the 70's Guatemala was a Panam hub, so all the flights that came from LAX of SFO had to stop in guate on there way to South America and on there way back so 2 planes parked at the end of the old terminal and others where parked close to the airport control tower, but i only saw this maybe twice in the times i flew to Guate from 1973-1977, but i do remember this sight, now we only get 757 or the ab340-300.

hope to see bigger planes in guate again...
