Its a great camera and I would highly recommend it. I bought this camera for roughly $650.00 at Amazon.com. I also bought a Hoya Multi-Coated UV Filter for $20.00. I was debating between the Canon Rebel T1i and the Nikon D5000 and I am glad I chose the Canon. does the camera always come with a lens?

@therondoshow No, you can buy the camera body itself which is a little cheaper, or combined with the kit lens.

1. It comes with a lens cap

2. When you do continuous shooting you have to turn the dial to motion (or the running man) and turn auto focus off therefore maximizing your shooting speed

Nah sorry man u didnt get a good deal. I got the t3i from best buy for 756 with lens. Then bundled it with a ef 55 250mm,lens. For bundling i got 100 off camera and 150 off the lens. So i got my 600d for 6 bucks more tham ur 500d. that was the STANDARD PRICE NO SALE. GUESS THATS WHAT HAPPENS WEN U WORK TO EARN A DOLLAR .U DONT PISS MONEY AWAY. Oh enjoy ur camera.
