  • I would suggest keeping an eye on the Times and Star website for the latest news, I haven't heard anything yet.

  • I agree most people would welcome the free publicity from this kind of thing, and I am sure that if any of the artists featured here were so against it they would've asked youtube to remove their stuff. I have lots of footage from the festival and most of it is of the artist and 10% of the crowd viseoing them!

  • Mitch1968uk I don't want to start a debate on this but there were no signs anywhere saying no videos, and this was taken while stood next to security. They can't not tell people then complain, to be honest with the amount of video I saw being shot I am very surprised there isn't more on here.

  • Thanks for the positive feedback, I will have to post more : )

  • My gosh, he looks & sounds terrific--how old is he here? 81? I hope I'm in that good a shape when I'm 50!

  • Still has so much energy, even though he is a near-dead

  • Does anyone know if anyone is confirmed for 2009?

  • I stood infront of Mr Berry all nite and there were loads of people videoing either side of me, he did not mind neither did Jimmie Vaughan or Ian Siegal mind me taping later that weekend either. If the artist did not want anyone to video they would have requested it and I would have respected their wishes, but no request was made.

I think artists actually like these vids as they show off there live performances without any cost to them,& they get great publicity from it.

  • I totally understand what you say but being involved in the video industry myself i know only too well the rules and regulations that apply to recording on these events the organisors have failed in their legal obligations to inform the audience no cameras and videos allowed like they do when you go to any big concert, I am sure nothing will come of you putting this on you tube although i have seen a very simillar video on cngroup website which could lead them into stick situation..many thanks..

  • How much can a venue do to stop this? Not much, thats what! As long as the stuff recorded is not sold (there by ripping off the artist) why can't it be recorded. I bet a bunch of bands people have never heard of LOVE the free publicity. You tube might be selling more tickets providing a two fold benefit. The fans get to see people like Chuck Berry are still playing live music and the artists gets a bigger fan base.

  • I know that the Blues Committee are furious over videos like this appearing on you tube, because they have a duty to make sure it doesnt happean because it puts them in a very dicey situation just thought id mention this to you...
