Hopefully you have time to answer this question with a video. A worry is often about unschoolers getting a well-rounded education, at some point you decided to take algebra not because of interest, but rather an awareness that some level of skill would be needed, or expected when/if you decided to pursue college.
How did you develop this awareness of future public expectation? What role did your parents have in bringing things to your attention? What memories do you have of thinking ahead?

According to the National High School Center - Over the last 15 years, 15 million students have graduated from high school reading at
below the basic level (2009). I should do some research before I make another video so I can really sound like I know what I'm talking about instead of just making vague statements. So here you go; here's a concrete statement. 15 million is pretty darn concrete.
