i think bruce lee said "all knowladge is self knowlage" basicaly saying that you cannot be taught, only showed how to learn. (and i know i cant spell I never learned :P)
The case could be made that the lcd doesn't have the spine we would like, schooled or not... You remind me of something I noticed. Every now and again we hear from someone who was entirely home schooled who complains like a prima donna that they don't have any "social skills", etc. and wish they had gone to school. This got me to thinking; just as school people don't turn 18 with a feeling that they're brainwashed, hs'ers also don't feel "different". They don't necessarily know what they have.
There is no such thing as a lazy child. Most kids who are bored and act up at school are bored because of the way they are being taught. Most of the time they would rather be movingat their own pace than waiting for the other 34 students to catch up. Human beings are curious by nature, if a child is inroduced to learning in the right way they will always hunger for information. No such thing as a 'lazy child' I promise. If a kid is apathetic to learning there is a reason and it can be fixed.
Very well said. I am an "American" living in Poland. It is something I have been observing here. That people want the EU to hand them everything and that the EU will be their new daddy.
