Identity

The following video is meant to showcase the theme of identity, which was portrayed in the book Invisible Man, by Ralph Ellison.
The following performance is meant to symbolize the idea of how society forces identities, personas, and labels onto others, whether racist or prejudice.
As the performance goes, the character representing society dresses the other in different attire meant to represent of how Society itself forces personas on an individual. In the end, the individual throws off the given attire, shunning his forced persona, and choosing to be only himself.
The poem used in this presentation was written entirely by us for this specific project and any similarities are merely a coincidence.
