Except this is essentially a replica of 'The Thick Of It' with better looking people and all the subtlety removed - along with most of the humour - whereas 'The Thick Of It' and 'Yes, Minister?' are completely different shows that share nothing except a political theme.

You could just go back and find the first attempt at political satire on TV and call everything after it a "remake," I suppose.

The problem is, being British myself, we end up having the American versions of the show aired on UK screens, which of course no one is forced to watch, but some of us British watch it, all cynically and critically, like the office and we tear it apart because in our heads, our version is better, it's more just pride. I actually am one of the Brits that thinks this show isn't a remake, it's more of an American adaptation since American politics is actually very different to British politics.
