3 pieces played by Mikhail Erdenko:
1) Paganini, arr Szmanowski: Caprice No 21 rec Moscow 1932
2) Chopin, arr Erdenko: Valse No 8 rec Moscow 1932
3) Alyabiev, arr Vieuxtemps: Nightingale rec Kiev 1914
I don't know much about Erdenko, other than that he was the founder of a dynasty of Russian Roma musicians, singers, dancers and artists. An outstanding violinist, he was professor at the Moscow conservatory and a personal friend of Lev Tolstoy. His recording of Kol Nidrei is apparently considered to be the most beautiful version of the work.
