I think the guy had almost perfect form, except for one mistake. The keys when doing these are to keep the upper arms vertically straight at all times and the elbows must not move and must be a little close than shoulder width apart. I understand that skullcrushers are hard to do perfectly. When in doubt of your form, go lighter. Don't just go heavy only to sacrifice form! Too many guys do exactly that just because they don't want to be seen doing lighter weights.

Yes, easier with a bar, but that's only because one handed workouts require more stability from the muscles. Also, HARDER = MORE RESULTS.
