Strategic plan for 2008-2013 targeted a production valued at 612 million by 2013

Participants of the Singapore Senior Civil Service Officers Exchange programme, who are in the country for a three-day visit, visited the Agriculture Department and had a closer look at the Chantika Semaian Sendirian Berhad in Wasan.

The Brunei delegation was led by the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister Office, Dr. Haji Affendy, while the visitors delegation was led by the Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Information, Communication and Arts, Admiral Sim Gim Guan. The 2008-2013 Agricultural Department Strategic Plan for medium term is a strategic documents that will be used as a guideline in achieving the goal of the Agricultural and Agrifood sector. This strategic plan will target a production valued at 612 million dollars by 2013 and 2.7 billion dollars by 2023. Emphasis will be given to the development of the paddy industry, livestock and agrifood industries including the development of the Brunei Halal Brand.
