Pele wouldn't have had this in him... Maradona, yes... but Pele no. Thats not knocking Pele... the man had a universal greatness... but this was a goal of extreme greatness.

Brings back memories...playing footie with mates in school games lessons on a grey Wednesday afternoon...I had George Best boots for Xmas...on those afternoons I was George Best (even tho I was and still am a West Ham fan)...used to love seeing him play on "The Big Match" and "Match of the Day"...I wish I'd seen him play live. I miss Bestie.

Thanks for posting my fave Bestie goal (so hard to choose though). Most other players wd have blasted it over the bar or into a defender but that is genius. I love the commentary too..."beautiful, absolutely beautiful" (is it Brian Moore, or Coleman?). Makes me want to laugh, cry and cheer at the same time. I miss Bestie.
