This is why you don't use anything *but* the recommended Jet fuel hose. Kero will make every-day vanilla 'Nitro' hose go soggy and soft, and end up in a rupture. If this had happened while the Turbrines were mounted in and Airframe, the results would have been catastrophic. A pretty 'Roman Candle' in the sky, granted, but a total loss of Aircraft just the same. Buy the time the Pilot would had realised what had just happened, it would have been too late. A plane full of Kero, two red-hot Turbines to ignite it....and "show's over folks"...
