I think that was just a very strong gust. Maybe at 70+ mph. I heard a tornado was near Amsterdam though.

@NYfanatic22 - More than likely. It lasted for about ten minutes like this. We had more damage here in a short time period than we did with Irene and whatever it was it sent two trees crashing through the roof around the corner and knocked over the neon sign at Firestone. Nasty and Eerie...

@zippitydoowop It really did knock down the Firestone sign? Thats crazy. I have a uncle who lives near there and I gotta see if he had any damage.

@NYfanatic22 - Yeah, tons of stuff were thrown all over the place. Tornado or not, it kicked Irene's ass. This storm obviously had some PMS going on.
