Vox was connected directly to the PC soundcards line in. There is no other eq or CAB simulator then built in CLASSIC ROCK.

Hey dude that is an amazing sound you're getting out of this thing! One quick question...would you recommend this amplug for a tone-crazy Van Halen/Guns N' Roses sound good for soloing on, or would another amplug be better suited for me?

@TheTorque5Channel Thanks man. My personal top 2 amplugs for now are AC30 and LEAD. AC30 is warmer and rather for guys who love to hit hard and don't bother to have lots of gain. Lead is more like 80's sound. Good gain, good attack, les mid range than AC30 but more modern style. Classic rock is a bit too muddy for me.

I thought this sounded good on the youtube clips so I bought one. However, I didn't like it - sounds too thin and muddy. It doesn't clean up using the guitar volume control and the clipping is very solid state sounding.

On the other hand - this thing is $40, so maybe I am asking for too much.

Do you need to plug the f@&er in something else ( like a cabinet) to get the sound, or is it already a speaker there?
