It's only been out for a few hours. The number of results is amazing considering how long it's been available, and including all the downtime they've already had. I'm sure they will catch up in the near future. The interface is nice and elegant and I think it's got potential.

Good review! I like Cuil, but it needs more improvement. Time will make it better and a real Google-Killer. Thank you Cuil! Kill Google! (but not Yahoo)

Agreed

yes he did quit, Cuil isn't better than Google though.

A CEO perhaps who quit

That is a problem from your Web Browser, not Google.
-
Cuil was made by the CEO of Google.
-
cuil has done well 4 itselfs as it is rated in the top 3000 on alexa nearly in 2000

I completely disagree with you saying Yahoo has a higher chance of beating Google because it has not once taken over Google in any respect. Cuil on it's first day beat Google for the amount of searches.
The "woman" wrote the software that indexes googles search engine. And I think they still user her software...probably.
Its the first day of business. I'm sure all search engines are perfect in the first day just like software has no bugs. Obviously these people leaving comments don't write software. So they don't understand the nature of the business.

The woman did write the software which does the indexing, they may still use it, but I'm it has been refined. Nonetheless, Cuil isn't ready for the masses - it has potential. It really does lack relevancy though (currently).

I agree and its the first day. Have you seen what google looked and lacked when they first launched? Every game you buy or software will come with bugs. How many times you get updates on your OS for patches? Its the nature of the software business.
A good amount of complaints that were on youtube have been fixed. Their is still room for improvement
In order to fully get feedback and scale it you must release it to the public in order to reach the masses to fix it. Its real life not Academia.

I couldn't agree with you more. I never expect an initial release of any software to be perfect, nor should anyone.
I don't think the problem is their software (their being Cuil), but rather their ability to be able to draw people away from Google. They have to make a dent in Yahoo and Live first though.
It will be very interesting to watch them over the next few years. Perhaps will call for an updated review in a few months.
