I think "You Are There" is a good album. A lot of their good elements, especially tremolos and string arrangements, are in this album. Compared to Explosions in the Sky, which seems to be more up-front and rock, Mono is a bit more introspective and quiet, and it may take a few minutes just for a build (worth it). But the album as a whole is awesome.

I do quite like how light this sounds. If you notice, in Explosions in the Sky, their first album was very light, and I don't know if they would be able to get back to that sound.

They are indeed amazing, as is this song. There was a mono show here on April 30th, but I couldn't go because it was 21+. :/ 2 Drink minimum. Anddd they were with World's End Girlfriend! I don't understand why they play in lounges if they don't like it when people talk and drink during the show.
