  • yea it might be a good idea if you replace the K and T wiring. unless it isnt overloaded and if it is in good shape you should be safe for short term wiring.

  • The knob and tube wiring was already abandoned in place. Looks like it hasn't been in use in a long time.

  • House looks really mutated, it could be a palace again though. I love old mysterious 1800s-early 1900s houses especially the real big ones with 3 levels and lots of rooms.

  • There is enough room in the actual attic that the house could have one room up there, making it a 4 story. I'd love something like that.

  • The pattern of that room at 4:54 looks like whole-house fan shutters!!!

  • i wish i could buy it and return it to its true beauty this just saddens me :-(

  • f this were my house i would personaly bring in a bulldoser and rip tha balloom out and restore the house.

  • what ever happend to the vintage ceiling fans in the house? oh yea i agree with u about the paint on wood paneling. there is auctualy a huge house by my house that was built in 1879. is was for sale last summer and sold for a very cheap price. the people who bought is are restoring it. and i also remembeing u saying that the house was a school for gilrs in the early 1900s.

  • It made the news? Is there a link to the news story?

  • i love walking in old houses like that i also got a question for you in my area it required by work code for the power in the all

house to be turn off before re doing it

not just in one or two places but in your area i guest thay aren't big sticklers

and it not required you guy to do so i wondering you can tell a little about work codes sins you might know more about that stuff?

  • Why is everything so hacked up? Are they going to replace the whole interior or something? Looks like an insane amount of work ahead...

Still an awesome place though. What a mansion that must have been when new.
