At first I thought it was one of the P-Funk bassists Rodney Skeet Curtis with all that popping he does, but then I saw the bassist and I don't know who that is.... I guess whoever was in Paul Shaffers house band at the time.

That is so true, we are far apart when it comes to race relations. Perhaps music could be the key to unity in the human race. We need more music like this !!!
