This was the first nano-reef aquarium I have kept. It survived almost 2 years until I gave it to a friend who assimilated it into his larger aquarium.

  • why did u giv it away?

  • @starthi It was hard to keep up with the hair algae in such a small tank. The 20 gallon I upgraded too was much easier to care for. The smaller the tank, the harder to control water parameters for a healthy tank.

  • how much would a setup like this cost?

  • @ncharrison well at least a 10

  • get that clown outta there

  • the clown needs a 20 gallon tank!!!!

  • Wat is the name of that song

  • what type of lighting did you use for this aquarium?

  • Beautiful tank! I have a 2.5 gallon too w/ just a clownfish, bumblebee snail, and sexy shrimp, all happily surviving for over a year! I think the 20 gallon rule is just so pet stores can make more money, cause how the hell can any average person just blow $300+ on that?!

  • ZurichONE I have a 2.5 and it is really simple, keep your gravity on the lower side and add DI water for top off every day. I like to use a slow drip but poring water with a cup should not hurt anything.
