This is the beginning of A Conneticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. Samuel Langhorn Clemens wrote it partially as a satire of Thomas Mallory's Le Mort De Arthur, and also as a praise of democracy, industry, and religious freedom. It is one of the first stories of Time Travel known. To those who have never read this book before, be warned, parts of it are very graphic, so be warned. For all of that it is a very good book, though I expect some would not say so.
