i would love it if they made a sequel to Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World!! After the movie ended, I hoped they would make another one, but so far they haven't. Please make the sequel!

A sequel would be fantastic. Need to put some pretty women in it, although O'Brian would be horrified! Need to increase the fan base.

Wow, a sequel would be AWESOME! I think I'd look forward to that as much as the upcoming Hobbit.

Get good writers, research it well, and GO FOR IT! What a welcomed film it would be, provided it followed O'Brien's novels closely.

Please make a sequel. I hate that the only film set in the high seas nowadays are fantasy popcorn flicks like Pirates of the Caribbean.

There aren't enough films like Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (possibly the most unwieldy movie title ever?) I'd like to see more from this IP, or even some original stories depicting the navies of the period.
I don't know anyone who doesn't like Master and Commander. It's turned into a sort of Zulu-type-tradition film in Britain, that you put on around Christmas time. lol

According to the Times, Patrick O'Brian (who wrote the 20+ books in the Aubrey-Maturin series) is "The greatest historical novelist of all time!". It was fantastic that they made the first movie, and quite frankly Russell Crowe was a perfect choice for Jack Aubrey, but given the strength, the style and the quality of these books, it is definitely right that they make more of the stories into movies. There are some great stories they can tell and I am sure audiences would appreciate them.
