I did this from scratch in the 1st year Animation course at Sheridan College. They provided some character model sheets for reference and told us to make a walk cycle for the pink panther character
1st I did the line test with traditional animation(see the video response above). This was done by making only 12 drawings of the panther in the right positions and shooting them in sequence using a web cam. The drawings are looped over and over. I used a pan funtion to make him move forward.

The next step was to import the still frames into Toon Boom Digital Pro. I traced all the lines in each drawing with a digital pen tool and filled them in with colour.
I made the background in photoshop using digital painting tools. I imported the backgorund into Toon Boom and used the pan functions to pan the character and background.
