I think you have to adapt the look to suit your face type and eye type.

I think this is a more modern twist. It's not authentic in any form whatsoever, so I guess it depends on what your'e looking for. This just kind of reminds me of the chola style makeup around here, and while that's pretty, It's not something I'd expect to see Louise Brooks, Clara Bow, or Thede Bara wearing. :/
