To be honest,I don't think AC/DC is heavy metal at all,it's a dumb explanation,but I don't think they "pushed that far" from simple blues-based hard rock,the other bands are ok I guess,of course, a few that I like myself are missing,but hey,everyone has his opinion,right?

@rocconrollo Well they were considered Heavy Metal DURING the 1970s, and that's my criterion for this list. Do I consider them Metal as to what the definition of Metal is now? Of course not.

I am curious who is missing that you like..

@karlmoles65 I know of course that you must consider what Metal meant at that time but still they do not sound enough "heavy" to me..well,maybe you don't even know them so it's perfectly understandable that they weren't on the list,Sir Lord Baltimore,Dust,Leaf Hound are three very cool bands that you must check,really heavy stuff...about the AC/DC issue,I guess that much of my opinion on them is influenced by the fact that I never really liked them.

@rocconrollo I know them quite well. I am also a fan of all four bands you listed. 70s Metal and Hard Rock is my first love in music. Kingdom Come and Hard Attack are two albums I love. I might do a Top 50 or 100 list like this, they'd all be on it.

@rocconrollo acdc are blues/hardrock real heavy metal of the 70ies were black sabbath, judas priest, motorhead, deep purple, led zeppelin (my point of view)
