One day, something wonderful might happen: a rally, a march, a brilliant speech - something. And things will start to change. But I always knew that before that could happen there would need to be a change in the air to make it even possible. While going through the clips you hear towards the end of this video I got the strong impression that it's actually happening. It will still be a while before we get full acceptance, and the disgusting behaviour of SOME religious people becomes socially unacceptable, but I feel for the first time that I might just live to see it.

To all those who have got us THIS far, please, keep going, keep pushing. The immovable object is not where it was just a few years ago. I never imagined I would see atheists coming together in the real world, seeking each other out. I didn't think the hunger was there. It is. You're not alone. You never were.

That's the way I've seen it also. I've never been offended by someone questioning my knowledge. I've been corrected, and I've made proper reconciliation, but never felt threatened... unless I knew I was on shaky foundation. For someone to be so threatened that they have to attack, shows a complete lack of faith and contrary to their claims.

So much for free will, I live in the south and I would love to find a secular group to attend or be a part of. But, low and behold there is none that I can find. Sometimes feel like I'm drowning in a sea of superstition with no land in sight. Thank you for free thinking videos and reasonobile people who understand the imporance of critical thinking. This is my life raft in this sea.

I can't make up someone else's mind. I just turn things over to the One who has the power. I wish all of you the best! Take care. :-)

i find it sad, that that one woman at 6:22, is using children to get beliefs/ideas forced upon others. :/

I don't even have words with which to describe how heart-breaking this video is. Truly... truly heart-breaking.

Cont.) I was shitty with religion and my rescue from it came finally when I got hold of the one great weapon of atheism: the knowledge that the story of Jesus was NOT unique! The virgin-born god-man who had 12 apostles and got crucified for the world's sins is an ANCIENT SOLAR MYTH. There were dozens of them! The only continent that never had to hear this crap was Australia- but everywhere else, the agrarian cultures knew about it. PM me if you want to know more- it's fascinating stuff.

Fundyism of any denomination is a mental illness. The symptoms are always the same, regardless of time, culture or religion. Yes, a huge weight off your shoulder,s and yes, it takes time to decompress. Been there and done that, hence my empathy for you. I was raised RC, and I thought I had it tough, until I went to USA and saw what REAL fanaticism is. It was horrifying. My advice is to chat at every opportunity with atheists or former cultists, and read about the origins of religions.

Thank you, as a former thiest the past couple of years I feel it coming I know where I'm headed. However, sometimes it scares me, others it's like a huge weight off my shoulders. I also feel like a yoyo back and forth, however I know I will never go back to theism, I know it just takes a while,

Feel free to PM me any time you feel alone, a sole island of sanity in a sea of stupidity, fanaticism and ignorance. I spent enough time in USA to know how terrifyingly mad and intolerant those religious whackjobs are.

LOL, I saw a ranting Christian mouthing off about The Golden Rule. I ventured the idea that it wasn't a perfect rule, because not everyone shares the same likes and preferences. WOW!! You should've seen her reply!! She went totally apeshit, claiming I was a sexual pervert, an idiot, an inmate of a prison, and other loving, sweet, Golden Rule sentiments. Oh, of course it's an attack- they know, deep down, that their beliefs are irrational, and they're terrified of you exposing that fear.

In school, you were tested on what you knew - not what you believed. Unfactual beliefs / answers caused you to fail the test.
