  • Why use iTunes on a Mac? Because Windows Media Player is crap on the Mac, thats why. Another program you PC dudes out there could try is ClamWin, its free and its also cross platform compatible with the Mac version being able to find and remove Windows programmed viruses even from a Mac. I had a Win Virus sitting in my Docs folder. Of course a .EXE has no way of executing under a Mac/Linux system, yet I'd rather get rid of them instead of passing them on to friends via email or the home network.

  • lol wow you got fucked, i have a pc desktop (xp) and a g4 apple labtop, and on my pc i havent had a single virus after over a year of useing it, looks like you just had bad luck...

  • Bad luck, Perhaps. But what I expect of a computer and its software, MS has never been able to provide.

  • did you even turn your fucking firewall on retard ive had my pc running vista ultimate and not had a single virus NOT ONE

  • If you got 300 viruses in an hour, you did a HELL of a lot more than "going to Apple(dot)com and Microsoft(dot)com." I've had my HP G7 for a few months now, and so far, I've never encountered a virus. And @RevolutionaryUS that hasn't been my experience with Norton, at all. Maybe they're just out to get you, personally. xD

  • Y YOU NO HAVE DAT MICROSOFT SECURITY ESSENTIALS OR AVG?!

  • you are a dumb ass the NORTON anti-virus lies to you so that you will buy the full program so just get AVG and get NORTON off your computer

  • @mandoza3 IE9 is not a virus it has excellent security on it and is way faster and more stable than FireFox and Google Chrome. Also how the heck would he get 300 viruses by just downloading iTunes and looking Microsofts website for updates which you never had to do with Widnows XP and higher. He either looked at a crap ton of porn(On sketchy sights) or clicked on one of the browser pop ups that said he had a virus and let it scan his computer to put viruses in it.

  • Just want to let you know as a Mac and a PC user, own MacBook Pro 17 IN 2010 model max everything, and a PC, acer 18.41 IN. 2008, I don't use an anti-virus, any time my friend tries to scan my computer, he finds nothing... I think you went on MicroSoft Internet explorer, as we all know Internet explorer is a virus, get Firefox before browsing...

  • @thousandfootkrutchro Thats you not him, your obviously not using norton(The worst sh** ever)

  • Your a fucking liar. I have not gotten an actual virus for 5 years. Your kinda an idiot.

  • I ran my PC for 18 months before I realised I hadn't even switched on the firewall and it was still running as smooth as the day I started. Not a hint of a virus.

PCs aren't virus prone, it's the flimsy OS that most people use that is. The trick is to use a decent OS that lets you setup decent security and then not to allow root execution permissions to anything on the internet.
