Olivia Chow supports U.S. Iraq War Resisters in Canada

On January 25 and 26, 2008, hundreds of supporters of U.S. Iraq war resisters rallied in the United States and Canada to put pressure on the government of Canada to let them stay.

Over 300 Canadian supporters attended the rally in Toronto at the Bloor Street United Church.

Les 25 et 26 janvier 2008 des centaines de sympathisants des résistants à la guerre américains refusant le combat en Irak ont manifesté aux Etats-Unis et au Canada pour exiger que le gouvernement canadien leur donne le droit d'asile.

Plus de 300 personnes ont participé à la mobilisation à Toronto dans l'Eglise Unie de Bloor Street.

I think Gerrad Kennedy and to a lesser extent, Bob Rae have been quite helpful as well.

But regardless of politicial affiliation, I think it's up to every Canadian to support our American friends who choose not fight, kill and murder others and to help them settle in a good, peaceful and honest life in Canada.
