  • these are the children of the haitian elite in haiti, who can afford schools in english, and fly out of the country to a house in the US or elsewhere. shame that its only 5% of there population.

  • @pepe0801 When I said that you can call me "ignorant", is because at hand I didn't know of Haiti's intentions of wanting to call the whole Island Haiti. I was not ofended, I said it in a matter of speech. You missed understood what I said just as I did about naming the island, got to be more specific sometimes. And I did said you won, meaning that you are correct, so I DID left it like that. Let's leave the subject like that, it is not much of an 'error' anyways. Farewell

  • @PerlitaHabanera BTW ,are all of your grandparents Cuban??

  • @PerlitaHabanera Perlita ,Ignorant only means that you don't know the subject at hand ...no need to get offended especially since it was not my intention.

Cuba is an island nation ,Puerto Rico is an island but Haiti is not an island it is on third of an island called Hispaniola simple as that .Haitians would like the island named Haiti but that is not the truth and all I did was correct an obvious error on your part so I don't know why you can't just leave it at that.

    Anyhow good day Perlita .

  • @pepe0801 Yes. I am Cuban, and you can call me ignorant on Haiti's intentions, I didn't know that !. I think they are wrong, very, very wrong, because if anything Dominican Rapublic people are hispanish, the island had a hispanish name and above all that, they don't even speak hispanish, they were brought by the French. Correct me if am wrong.

  • @PerlitaHabanera of course it matters because Haitians want the island to be known as Haiti which to them is "one and indivisible" a statement which lays claim to the Dominican Republic and calling the island Haiti is either ignorance or and indication of other intentions.Your name would make you Cuban but then again I may be wrong.

  • @pepe0801 Yes I am aware of the ignorance on the web. Okay, listen you win. I should've said that haiti is in the island of the hispañola. Let me take a guess, are you dominican. I say, because you do really defend the other 75 % of the Hispañola island.

    Suave.

  • @PerlitaHabanera

Cubanita bella ,you obviously are not aware of all the ignorant people on the web.

Anyhow I think the point is made ,Haiti is not an island ,the island is called Hispaniola (La Española) and Haiti only occupies the western third of the island.

    Adios wapa

  • @pepe0801 I don't think that a person that can use a computer does not know that Haiti and Dominican Republic are two nations on the same island.

  • @PerlitaHabanera The problem is that saying Haiti is an island negates the other country on the island and confuses people about the name of the island which is not Haiti. I know Cuba is an island nation but "La Española" has two nations on it .
