@jaime6522 I guess that's your bad for not having the foresight to get in at the bottom of the meteoric rise of Verizon's wireless business and form your little union there. I don't think you realize that Verizon is in business to make a profit, not to listen to your shit. Fact: wireline profits are down, people are cutting the cord and dropping home phone and DSL for better options. Times change, but the union mob mentality remains a constant.

@surfingsuicune Like I said, your ignorant. I am one of the 45000 PROUD union members that are on strike. We aren't on strike because of money. We get a nice decent wage. We are on strike because they want to take away our benefits that we have fought for in the past. They want to take away from US as they are making tons of money. Like I said before, do your research before you open you mouth and say stuff you have no idea about. I doubt very much you could do what you call "monkey work".
-
@jaime6522 You're proud of your union, eh? I bet you're one of the 46,000 assholes who's on strike right now, because, damnit, $35 an hour just isn't enough to climb poles and crimp cables. Don't inflate your job to something more significant or high minded than it is--it's monkey work. And if you really valued customer relations, you wouldn't put them in the crossfire for another $1.30 an hour.

@surfingsuicune You really are one ignorant idiot. We aren't doing anyone any favors, just doing OUR job. No high horse we are riding on but WE do bust our ass. Unless you do what we do, you have no idea what you are talking about. Btw, we aren't easily replaceable. Engineers or the corporate workers you talk about are. Why because we belong to a union. Can't get fired or replaced. So do your research before you open your mouth. CWA and proud.

I just want to add that this guy has over 40 years IN THE COMPANY with direct customer contact every day. So anyone with a negative comment, check your seniority (corporate or engineering, who by the way, are replaced regularly by Verizon and rarely have customer contact.)
BTW, I am in this video.

Don't act as though doing paying customers any favors by giving them the services they pay for? That's their job buddy...
And you get off your high horse, unless you're an engineer or working at corporate, you're easily replaceable.
i really hate verizon
