Just two words: so great!
Another song to cherish and still so good sounding after all these years. It's always a treat to hear this music brought by heavenly voices. Also, don't forget about the great version by The Jaguars, from 1956...

@dowopper51 In this instance charting isn't relevant. What he's obviously saying that the Jarmels DEFINED the song, whether it was buried on a B side or not. (Back in those days when we didn't own a lot of records, we always wound up listening to both sides!) Who would ever want to hear the Lettermen after hearing this?

LOVE IT!!!

One of the best groups ever!
The Pride of Richmond.VA.

hUMMMMMMMMMMMMM.............I feel hot! lol

@gilltorres The Lettermen also did a fantastic version and released it the same year & charted #13. I don't believe the Jarmels even charted with this side because the flip " A Little Bit Of Soap" was the hit. gilltorres I would reconsider your statement.

This is without any doubt, the best version ever. The Jarmels blew ever other artist away. OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Saw the Jarmels in Virginia Saturday, as part of huge multi-group review. It wasn't the same with the different lead, but still a good performance. The show itself, by the way, was fantastic (Flamingos, Jive Five, Shirley Alston, Vogues, Tokens, etc., etc.).

Taking a classic standard such as this one by Jerome Kern and re-arainging it uptemp incurs a heavy risk. The Jarmels took a chance and won. I love their version!!!

One of the great B-sides in the genre! Love it now for almost 50 years!!!

Fantastic video, Gill! Paul Burnett sounds just as he did 40 years ago when I heard his
beautiful voice in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
Thanks so much for posting.
RIP, Paul.
