Filled chiller with ice. 15 Lbs store bought and 6 or 7 trays of cubes.
Big difference from earlier tests with the frozen water bottles.

  • best home made one i have seen using ice. Do you have the problem when you walk in it it rises and disapers.

  • Yes a little. Itll drift up and then fall back down when i walk through it.

If your thinking of using this while DJing, i would highly suggest you test it out over the dance floor prior to people arriving. I used it once on a newly cleaned/polished floor and it was way to slippery to dance on. Had to break out the mop and clean the area i tested it on. I used Froggys Quick Dissipating fog as well. When i tested this in my kitchen it left no residue, so it may have been the cleaner they used.

  • what kind of fog fluid do you use

  • Froggys Quick Dissipating was recommended for indoor use. Im sure you could use something longer acting, but i went that route to hopefully avoid issues with the smoke detectors.

Last time i used it was at an outdoor Halloween setup. I think Froggys Swamp Juice or Low Lying would have worked better. Then again if its windy, it wont matter what you use.

  • Anyone ever tell you, you sound just like Christopher Walken?

  • Wow now that you mention it, i think he sounds a lot like me.

  • do you have step by step instructions on how to make this? Do you have the fog going directly into the ice and then it just forces itself out the exhaust hole? Or, is there something else in there besides ice?

  • What does it look like on the inside of the cooler. Please tell me. I am making a fog chiller tomorrow and I need to know how you made this one. Is it just simply full of ice or is there more to it. It would be a huge help if you replied back as soon as possible. Thanks!

  • The bag is used to disperse the fog in a wider pattern.

  • Nice one! You should make a tutorial on how to make it the exact way you did it because your chiller is one of the best I've seen. Great job. The fog lingers for a while too. What kind of a machine do you have?
