This is a lullaby I wrote for my new born baby nephew Aeneas. If we never tell a child that he or she can't, then I figure they will. Recorded this in one take so it isn't perfect, but I didn't fix it because it isn't supposed to be. Anyway, I just hope someone gets something out of this....Enjoy
Don't let them tell you that you're too small
You're gonna grow up big and strong
And when they tell you that you can't fly
Dawn your cape and touch the sky,
And when they well you that you're too slow
Set your sail and the wind will blow
And when they ask you how you flew tell them you didn't know that you couldn't
So you did...
Don't let the news man make you cry
The tv screen is full of lies
And when he says that there's no hope
Go right out and grab your rope
Lasso the moon and drag it down
Hold it up and show the crowd
And when they ask you how you dared
Tell them it's because it was there
So you did...
Don't let them tell you that you're too young
Grab your guitar and learn to strum
Let them talk while you go sing
Run like Hell boy and live your dreams
And when they ask how you became a star
Tell them you didn't know that you couldn't
So you did....
