Evan Burke and his wife Nora head to Willit Springs, GA to take over the pastorate of First Baptist Church following the untimely death of the previous pastor. While the parsonage is being renovated, the young couple stay with a wealthy widow from the church and her single adult son.
Things take a frightening turn when Evan's vision for the church doesn't quite match up with that of some of the members of the church.
