These are very common within hotels, but rarely see them out in the streets. Every onsen hotel has one! Good after a warm bath hehe

@TheHolyBong nope you can get 3 cans of labatt blue for 6$ and sometimes corner stores or gas station have singles on sale u can get a great deal best one I got was 1.25$ for a 473ml can of tecate i grabe 20 cans cost me 25$ :) so it all depends on the location. now if ur thinking Ontario I understand a 24 of Heineken in Quebec would go for 25-26$ but in Ontario it's maybe 46-47$

Pure genius technology?? It's a VENDING MACHINE, get over it.
Actually in Japan almost everyone is polite and obedient. The kids don't even try to buy the beer. If they do, its like disgracing their family. Their culture is different from those of Americans so don't be ignorant saying the "kids will buy the beer" and "American laws are too strict."
