MK4 and NFL Blitz on MAME

Ok, YourMKArcadeSource did a video of how MK4 ran on his mame cab. This is just about the same I have seen for all mame cabs running MK4. I just thought that mine ran a little faster as far as frames went and the sound skips big time just not as bad. I get 22-55 (20-25 in a match) fps on MK4 and 48-80+ fps with NFL blitz 2000 gold ED. This video was done because of a request.

MK4 runs around 97% on a intel E8600 dual core running on Mame 32 or 64 Blitz runs between 76% and 100% 64 bit versions of mame are better

how did you get your coin slot to sync up with your pc?

As far as lights or put'n tokens in?

Lights are powered by the PC power.

Coin doors are wired up to the X-gaming tankstick coin buttons. I'll try to get a video up for you. it is very easy to set up.

man I can't even get NFL Blitz 2000 GE to work, everytime I enter a name and select a team, it shows the team I am about to face, then goes to the four-way grid load screen and I hear the crowd sound playing but it never start the fucking game. Plus none of the CMOS settings work, every time I change something in the Diagnostics menus it just has some "FAILED" message. WTF, Mame says this shit works with no emulation problems at all, even the Power On test has a "FBI Memory Test Failed" message

@kevenzz yeah I get it, but it kind of sucks how I can run SFIV at full speed and then I can't play Blitz still. I'm not running a Core2Duo 2.6 ghz in my Mame cabinet anymore, its a waste, instead I will put a P4 3 ghz. I don't even bother running anything 3D, its hopeless unless I buy something very expensive, but its not worth it, those games don't even look that good anymore. I would rather have a cabinet with a Dreamcast inside rather than dealing with skipping sound and other promblems.

@emeryDH that's because mame is not a game emulator but a machine emulator.... it's purpose is not to play games for free like most emulators...... it's pretty much an arcade history documentation.
