Have you seen the documentary called "Becoming a Geisha"? It's on Youtube you should check it out if you have not seen it yet.

@GaijinPrincess in the past oiran were Prostitutes and sold themselfs and that but today i dont think so its all for show their just entertainers much like the Geishas so they woll be paid for doing the shows so dont need to do sex
