Mega Man Glitch?

4 extra men at once on Mega Man, GC version.... Happened to have my capture card running, probably testing the sound considering how poor the sound is.

Hm, well, while it's a bit... Curious that you were recording just as you got the drops, it can be assumed that you used a Genie for 'Only Free Men'. Although, it's not impossible for it to have been luck, I'm pretty sure that extra men have a 1/256 chance of dropping, so the chances of three at once are like being struck by lightening.

Avoid powerlines and electrical storms, and buy a lottery ticket.

@iWerf Well, technically, Mega Man 1 and Mega Man 2 randomness was somewhat tricky, so if you're hit Pipi birds with Metal Blade (or something which generates a lot of sprites), if from first egg you get 1UP, you get also from rest, because randomness freezes for a while after hitting enemy.

I don't agree with your assertion that he used a Game Genie, or any cheat. Actually, that very same thing happened to me in that same spot when I was playing the game last year. Judging from the fact that it happened to someone else, I think it's a programming glitch, unintentional or otherwise, that got programmed into the game.

@iWerf It has happened to me before on several occasions. Notably, with just enemies that spawn more enemies (the big frogs that spew out baby frogs, the birds that drop the eggs, and the squiggle machines as featured in this video).

I'm not sure what causes it, but I'm guessing a glitch with the random number generator and these enemies....
