324-66 I guess I was in the middle of all of it. First two weeks was ' what have I've gotten myself into'. Once settled in it became more like I belonged their. Great times with some really great people.

I was in Company 336 1956 in San Diego. I was in boot camp from July to September. I think I graduated on September 25, 1956 and I participated in in several graduations. I remember carrying the old 1903 Springfield everywhere I went and doing brigade drills with it until it got so heavy I could hardly lift it.

Boy, what memories. I was there, company 020 beginning Jan 3rd, 1966. My company would have graduated with the "rag" (cloth company flag) .. we did not win a single competition that would have given us a "silk" flag hehehehe .. It was only because of graduation that we got the silk 020. I remember our CC was so mad he cut all of our cigarette packs diagonally from corner to corner than made us throw them in the dumpster. the company below us saved as many as they could.

Enjoyed this video, I was in Co. 098 in 1963, the Meninjitis thing was just getting started, a lot of scrubbing barricks and thaking pills every night. I stayed in 5 years, liked it.
