On the bus, unless you're wearing a suit, a black or African woman would sit beside a donkey than grab a seat beside a black man. I have been asked to leave African clubs. I've been to a dozen Mexican/latin clubs in Seattle. No one has EVER asked me to leave. I don't know about LA, but elsewhere a mexican will treat you better than an east african.

At the same time, there were clubs down there where white people were not welcome. Nobody would do them anything, but... However latinos were always welcome.
