I went to La Chureca during my Spring Break. I was working with Manna Project, and we also visited the near-bye school that taught the kids that got high off of shoe glue. Indeed the children there were precious, every one of them needing a hug, and their beautiful smiles touched my heart forever.
My organization and I are starting a Manna Chapter at the University of Texas-Austin, and I plan to live in Nica for a few years. Hope to work with you in the future.
I've been there. We gave some young boys food. It is too bad we couldn't do more. They have something like this in Guatemala too. I think they are starting to make reforms there (guatemala) though.
